The Sipuja wall sits on the open, seaward south face of Stračinska bay on Šolta's south coast, so it takes the full brunt of Jugo (Sirocco) swell driven up the Adriatic's SE-NW axis — SE through S is the dominant exposure direction. The enclosing headlands and the island mass behind block the landward N-NE-E sectors almost completely, and Bura (Bora) blowing offshore from the mainland NE has little fetch here. Westerly and SW storm swell can still wrap into the bay mouth, so this is not a safe-shelter site in southerly or western weather.
