Prizidnica sits on the open, seaward south face of Čiovo, so its exposed window is the channel and open water to the south — S through SE is the dominant swell direction, taking Jugo (Sirocco) wind-sea driven along the Adriatic's SE-NW axis and up through the Split Gate. The bulk of Čiovo island immediately to the north blocks the N-NE-NW sectors almost completely, and Bura (Bora) from the NE blows offshore here with little fetch. To the SSW and SW the island of Šolta, about 10-12 km across the channel, casts a partial shadow that trims the longest-fetch swell from those bearings, but a southerly or south-easterly blow still builds surface chop over the site. Westerly weather wraps in only weakly. This is not a safe-shelter dive in Jugo or sustained southerly wind.
