A fully submerged granite shoal sitting mid-channel between Spargi/Spargiotto and Budelli, near the Strait of Bonifacio. It is most exposed to the W-NW, where the Maestrale (Mistral) funnels hard down the strait and drives the channel's wind-waves and strong currents onto the steep west wall; the bulk of Spargi to the south shelters the S-SSE sectors, while Budelli partly shadows the north. Wave height is modest in this microtidal sea, but tidal/wind-driven current through the channel is the dominant condition and can run strong.
