This Lerins drop-off sits on the small Tradeliere islet just east of the much larger Ile Sainte-Marguerite, whose bulk lies directly to the west and blocks the W and WNW sectors, with the Cannes mainland and Golfe-Juan screening the NW and N from the Mistral and Tramontane. The seaward face opens to the open Mediterranean across the S to SE to E arc, peaking from the south and south-southwest where the Scirocco and southerly fetch build the wind-wave on this microtidal coast; due-east is also open across the bay, since Cap dAntibes lies off to the north-east rather than in the easterly window. The WSW is closed off by Ile Saint-Honorat backed by Sainte-Marguerite's south-east shore, and the SW is only half-open behind Ilot Saint-Ferreol, so the islet is best worked in a westerly when Sainte-Marguerite gives a clean lee.
