About This Site
The classic boat dive off Cabo de la Nao (Cap de la Nau), the headland at the heart of Javea's popular Portitxol/Nao diving zone. An elongated rocky islet on the south side of the cape with boulder-strewn slopes dropping to around 18-20 m; the almost-always-sheltered north wall makes it a reliable, clear-water dive for everyone from newer divers building experience to more advanced groups exploring the deeper point.

An elongated islet hugging the mainland just south of Cabo de la Nao, with open Mediterranean to the east and southeast and the headland and coast blocking the western sectors. Exposure is wind-wave driven: easterly Llevant winds and the warm SE Scirocco have the longest fetch and drive the biggest swell onto the seaward (E-SE) flank, while the NW Mistral/Tramontana blows offshore and is shadowed by land. The popular north wall and the channel side are well protected, so the site stays diveable in most conditions except a strong easterly or SE blow.
