Port San Luis

South-facing harbor protected by the breakwater and Point San Luis. Excellent protection from west through northwest swell, and the headland blocks southwest through south-southwest almost entirely. The main window is south-southeast through the harbor entrance at moderate exposure; due-south energy only diffracts around the breakwater at low-to-moderate strength. Generally calm — a reliable training site. Watch for fishing lines.
