Highly exposed site taking full energy from west-southwest with west close behind. West-northwest and northwest arrive at moderate strength. Southwest and south-southwest see moderate to high exposure, and due-south energy refracts around the sandspit into the bay at substantial strength. Breakwater offers no protection from prevailing westerly swells. Only safe on the calmest days. Currents rip around the rock's base, creating a powerful venturi effect.
