Northwest-facing cove at the corner of Palos Verdes Estates. Most exposed to west-northwest energy entering Santa Monica Bay through the Point Dume-Anacapa window, which arrives near head-on at high strength, with southwest through west close behind at moderate-high levels; winter west swells typically close it out. True northwest through north bearings face the Malibu shore across the bay, so those directions deliver only wind chop and modest wrap around Point Dume, while south through southeast energy is blocked by the peninsula with limited wrap past Flat Rock Point. The rocky entry is notoriously slippery, so sturdy booties and a careful approach are mandatory even on calm days.
