About This Site
Fraškerić is the signature reef-and-cavern dive of the southern Pula/Banjole–Medulin end of the Istrian coast and a genuine all-abilities classic. The western face of the islet holds four wide, light-filled swim-through tunnels and caverns that run from just below the surface down to around 16–20 m, linked by drop-off walls, small caves and crevices. Calm, clear water and a short boat ride make it a perennial favourite for cavern training, photography, night dives and snorkeling, with the deeper boulders and sandy bottom reaching about 24 m.

The dive is on the seaward western face of Fraškerić islet, so it takes the brunt of any open-Adriatic swell from the W, SW and WSW. The neighbouring Frašker islet and the Medulin archipelago to the south-east blunt the long Jugo (Sirocco) waves that run up the Adriatic's SE axis, and the Banjole/Pula mainland to the north-east means the offshore Bura (Bora) brings fierce wind but little wave fetch on this side. Landward N–E sectors are well sheltered, making the site diveable in most conditions except a strong westerly.
