Recessed cove anchorage that keeps most of the open-coast energy at bay — a sheltered, beginner-friendly entry by Mendocino standards. West and west-southwest arrive at roughly half offshore strength after spreading across the cove, southwest at moderate exposure, and west-northwest through northwest are progressively shadowed by the bay's north headland.
