About This Site
Caspar Headlands State Beach sits at the mouth of Caspar Creek between dramatic sea cliffs, offering excellent diving when conditions cooperate. Recessed cove anchorage that keeps most of the open-coast energy at bay — a sheltered, beginner-friendly entry by Mendocino standards. West and west-southwest arrive at roughly half offshore strength after spreading across the cove, southwest at moderate exposure, and west-northwest through northwest are progressively shadowed by the bay's north headland. Still the area's widest western window: check conditions before committing on sizable west swells.
