Beach pocket tucked between a rocky headland to the northwest and the whale-shaped sea stack and Whaleshead Island to the southwest. Both formations shadow southwest through west-southwest swell substantially, and the headland cuts west-northwest through northwest. The only clear window is a narrow westerly gap between headland and stacks — the pocket stays noticeably calmer than the open beach either side.
