About This Site
A shallow, photogenic cavern dive on a rocky reef (secca) that runs between the two "Sconciglie" pinnacles off the north-west of Ventotene, just west of Punta Eolo. The site is famed for a cluster of luminous sea caves and a passing arch where shafts of sunlight pour through at around 12 m, creating dramatic light-play that makes it one of the most accessible and scenic dives in the marine reserve. Legend ties these rocks to the sirens of Odysseus, and the seabed still holds Roman-era amphora fragments, dolium necks and lead anchors from ancient wrecks. With a gentle depth profile (roughly 3-20 m) it suits even first-time divers and pairs naturally with the nearby Santa Lucia wreck at Punta Eolo.
